How to

Just add water.

  1. Tear one stick
  2. Add 500 ml of water
  3. Shake and drink

A little settling at the bottom is normal. The minerals are real and they are heavy. Shake again and finish it.

More than just thirsty

Sweat is the obvious one. It is not the only one.

  • Training

Before, during or after a session. One stick in the bottle you already bring.

  • Daily

Coffee, air conditioning and a desk quietly dehydrate you. One stick resets the baseline.

  • Recovery

The day after a hard session is when the deficit shows up. This is when most people under-drink.

  • Heat

A Moroccan summer costs you a litre before you have done anything. Sodium is what holds it in.

  • Travel

Cabin air sits near 10% humidity. A long flight is a slow, dry drain.

  • Hot days indoors

Air conditioning, heating and dry air take water out of you with no effort and no thirst. You notice late.

Hydration, down to a science

Two ideas do all the work. Neither of them is new.

  1. 01

    Sodium opens the door

Water does not cross the intestinal wall on its own. Sodium drives the co-transport that pulls it through, which is why plain water passes straight down when you are genuinely depleted.

  2. 02

    The ratio is the product

Anyone can put salt in a sachet. VITA is dosed so sodium, potassium and magnesium arrive together, at a level you can take every day rather than once in a while.

What is in it, and why

The ingredients that do the work, each one there for a reason you can read.

  • Sodium citrate and saltSodium citrate and salt

    300 mg sodium

The active ingredient, not the seasoning. Sodium is what draws water across the intestinal wall. Two sources, for 300 mg a stick: enough to do its job, at a dose you can take every day.

  • Potassium citratePotassium citrate

    150 mg potassium

Sodium works outside the cell, potassium inside it. Citrate rather than chloride because it is gentler on the stomach and does not fight the lemon.

  • Magnesium citrateMagnesium citrate

    30 mg elemental

The third mineral sweat carries off, in its citrate form.

  • Vitamin CVitamin C

    80 mg

A full EU daily reference value. It also does honest work in the sachet, keeping the lemon flavour bright rather than flat.

  • Vitamin B6Vitamin B6

    1.4 mg

A full daily reference value. B6 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

  • Stevia and sucraloseStevia and sucralose

    No added sugar

Stevia sweetens, and a small amount of sucralose balances it. VITA is not meant to taste like a soft drink. It is meant to taste like it is doing something.

  • Natural lemon flavourNatural lemon flavour

    With citric acid

Real lemon character, and the acidity that keeps a salty drink fresh.
